Out Of The Blue

f/1.8, 6", ISO-100, 50mm

Caught this lightning strike one evening when I didn’t even know there was a storm rolling in. I set out to take pictures of the sunset and to experiment with long shutters speeds, but I decided to point the lens the other direction for a bit to see if one of those long shutter speeds would equate to a nice shot of the sky zapping the ground. I had a lot of failed attempts, but this one came out all right.

I did some rare work in Photoshop on this one to remove some power lines that were prominently in the picture.

      Thank you! I’ll let you in on a secret…I thought of the title first and then adjusted the color to match 🙂
