Soft Focus

Soft Focus

f/9, 1/125, ISO-400, 50mm

This was taken a few weeks ago during the last overnight frost of the season (knock on wood). It’s just outside our office and the fog and soft early morning light gave the whole scene a sort of ethereal glow that made the world seem a little less real than normal. Anyway, I picked up this shot along with some of the earlier posts with frost on the evergreens. I goosed the contrast just a titch and pulled back on the color saturation, but otherwise this is pretty much how it came out of the camera.

Love this. Perfect contrasts — black and white, soft and hard, straight lines, curves.
