All Wrong

All Wrong

f/;5.6, 1/40, ISO-100, 55mm

There was a time not too long ago when I could walk for an hour, spend an hour in post-processing, and have two weeks’ worth of photos to post to my blog. My life has been tipped upside down lately and I haven’t had the time to really devote to my camera. But there is also the very real fact that when I am able to make time for photography I see generally uninspired.

Here’s a good example. In an hours’ walk today I found the motivation to take fewer than 50 exposures, less than a dozen different subjects, and this was pretty much the best thing I came home with. The lines are all wrong there are several distracting elements, and the subject itself is just kind of meh.

Its the creativity doldrums I guess. Most photographers I know have experienced something similar. I have myself, though not quite as drastically as I feel it now. This too shall pass, but I wish it would hurry up and let me get back to doing things I’m really proud of.

Been there many times. And it’s usually when I’m very busy and can’t wrap my head around anything inspiring. That too shall pass.

I think the image came out nice. I get like this all the time. Mainly because I don’t think my photos are good enough.
