Weekly Photo Challenge: Illumination

Morning Light

f/5.6, 1/10, ISO-100, 32mm

This one is quit a bit more heavily post-processed than I normally go for. It almost  looks HDR, but it’s all just Lightroom. Most of the editing involved darkening the image, as it was actually quite light outside at the time. I must admit I was surprised to discover that the shutter was 1/10.  This was a handheld shot, and I must have nudged the dial from shutter priority to manual by accident, or I never would have attempted an exposure that long in my hand. I deepened the blues and reds – more to bring out the shadows and textures of the clouds than the color of them, and then used the local adjustment brush to create a false impression of light on the pavement and on the pole.
