Koffee Ambiance

This isn’t quite the first photo I’ve posted here that was taken with a tablet or phone, but it may be the second. I’ve been playing recently with Snapseed for Android on my Galaxy Tab lately, and I’m very impressed. For the first time I can imagine doing serious image editing on a tablet, though we’re not quote there yet. I’m curious enough to be interested on the new $10 Photoshop app that’s come out though.

Anyway, now and again when I’m at my favorite watering hole for a bit of morning relaxation I like to see what I can point my camera at and how I can dress it up, and this is my effort today.

The photo and the creation of this post was done entirely on my tablet, and the timing was good enough that I managed to get it all done at my normal posting time!

I like it a lot. While the phone camera won’t ever replace my Nikon, it sure does take some decent photos. It’s fun to play around with some of the different apps.

I agree. My tablet is more mobile and requires less setup than my DSLR. I can take photos with dramatic angles in a matter of seconds, where a similar shot with my Canon would a good 15 minutes and a tripod to get the same result. It’s not a replacement for the DSLR, but it’s certainly a valid tool in the toolbox.

This is a lovely image. Well done with the technology in hand. Great coffee too!

Thank you! That shop is my favorite place to take indoor photos. I get an interesting shot every time I go in there, and it only seats about 20 people.
