f/2.2, 1/250, ISO-100, 50mm

I managed to get  this photo at a lakeside at the end of a long afternoon of shooting portraits. It was one of the most successful portrait sessions I’ve had to date, but just as we were about to head home the overcast, gloomy, rainy sky decided to let the sun shine through just for a few moments, and I was able to quickly set up a shoot-through umbrella and get a few shots of this lovely girl. The day was windy so there was only one direction I could reasonable point the umbrella, but it worked perfectly. I paid careful attention to my aperture to get just the bokeh I wanted, and my model cooperated with, as her grandmother noted, an “alluring” expression (also noting that grandmothers aren’t necessary fans of “alluring”) and I got this amazing result.
