Autumn Hillside

Autumn Hillside

f/3.5, 1/640, ISO-100, 85mm

I’ve been doing a lot of portraits lately – senior portraits and family portraits – and I still am kind of surprised when I’m asked to do it. Honored and humbled and more than a little nervous. Then I see something like this has come out of a camera that I was holding and setting up, and I know that I was responsible for the fill light and reflector, and most importantly have the responsibility of making my model relaxed and having an enjoyable time. It just makes me grateful that I was invited to be a part of someone’s memories.

Never, ever take this job for granted.

Seniors are just the best aren’t they?

They certainly are! Hardly seems like a job when I’m photographing them!
