Here’s something a bit more daring in my quest for dual light edification. I had a red gelled flash with a 5″ snoot at about 3:00 and a blue gelled LED continuous light at about 11:00. Everything I’ve red about portrait photography suggests its a Very Bad Thing to light your model in red or blue, so being the rebel that I am I committed both sins at once. Thank heavens I had a model who can stand as still as a rock as the lighting was very low and my shutter speed insanely slow. The blue gel really cut down on the light intensity, and I needed the long exposure to get the proper lighting effect.
